Leni Robredo Plans To Run For President

 Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo has announced plans to run for Philippine president in 2022. 

"If we truly want to liberate ourselves from this situation, we should change not just the surnames of those in power; the corruption, the incompetence, the lack of compassion must be replaced by competence and integrity in leadership" - Leni Robredo, Philippine Vice President

Robredo will join a crowded field to become the next president of the Philippines. There will be at least 4 other candidates including superstar boxer Manny Pacquaio. 

The current president, Rodrigo Duterte will not be able to run for president again due to rules on term limits in the Philippines.
